- Ashley Massaro has teased a return to “television” via her MySpace blog following her recent release from WWE. Massaro posted the following:

Whether a return to television means a return to WWE remains to be seen. Nobody in the company saw her asking for her release as a huge loss and the feeling I got was that she asked for her release rather than wait to be told she was out of a job.
Prior to her release, Massaro had not been seen on WWE television since Rolling Stone magazine claimed she had previously worked as a $25,000-a-night escort for a company in Las Vegas prior to entering the wrestling industry.
While Massaro denied the allegation and threatened to sue, Rolling Stone failed to retract their original article, which led to some in WWE believing that Massaro’s real reasons for wanting to leave the company were linked to the revelation.
After asking for her release, Massaro said via her blog that wanting to leave WWE was as a result of her 7-year-old daughter being ill – a statement she later changed to a “family member”.
- Kansas City’s KMBC-TV reported late on Wednesday that local resident Twyla Riley is suing WWE for injuries she says she sustained to her head, back, neck, knee, ankle and elbow during the company’s Smackdown brand show on May 19 at the Gale Bullman Multipurpose Center on the Missouri University of Science and Technology campus in Rolla.
A lawsuit filed in Phelps County Circuit Court earlier this year said Riley is blaming WWE for the fall, saying that a railing gave way near her seat in the bleachers. Lawyers for the university and WWE say that Riley was at fault.
- Look out for a new weekly ‘Roundtable’ feature starting here at WWEPreview.com tomorrow night with all of the regular writers discussing a different topic each week. It should make for some good reading.
- Piers Morgan will appear on WWE’s Saturday Night Main Event this week in a pre-taped segment to raise awareness of autism group Generation Rescue. Jenny McCarthy appeared at the tapings on Monday night for a short in-ring segment promoting the cause ahead of it airing this Saturday night on NBC in the States and Sky Sports 3 here in the UK. Ben Stiller and other celebrities also filmed short pieces for the show.
Morgan told The Sun: “I’m delighted to help with such a worthy cause.
“My kids are huge WWE fans, so there was no way I could turn down the opportunity to fight this cause alongside WWE’s superstars.”
