Foley makes TNA debut tonight, while Nash agrees new deal

Thursday September 18 BY Phil Lowe

Mick Foley’s TNA television debut will air on tonight’s edition of Impact on Spike TV. TNA announced that Foley would be on the show on Wednesday via their website, taking any kind of surprise element out of his debut.

The announcement is something of a surprise given that Foley’s name was mentioned - or even teased - during last Sunday’s No Surrender PPV or on last week’s TV show.

As noted prior to moving over to iFight365.com, Foley penned a short-term deal with the company, with both sides open to extending the deal should it work out for all concerned.

We’ll have a full recap of tonight’s edition of Impact up on the site early on Friday morning, courtesy of the excellent Jeff Hamlin, who some readers will already be familiar with.

Kevin Nash has agreed a new deal with TNA, according to PWTorch.com, putting an end to speculation that he could be set for a return to WWE.

The news should mean that the planned Nash vs. Samoa Joe match is back on the cards, with build for likely starting after next month’s Bound For Glory PPV. Internally, there had been concern that Nash would not sign a new deal, with reports suggesting that Nash was looking to get involved in the Shawn Michaels-Chris Jericho storyline in WWE as a bodyguard for MIchaels to counter Jericho’s “sidekick”, Lance Cade.
