In an update on an incident at Nashville Airport on Wednesday morning involving Jeff Hardy, it was reported late on Thursday that the Smackdown star was “intoxicated” prior to boarding a plane following Tuesday night’s TV tapings.

The news comes after Jeff’s brother, Matt, posted a blog update on Thursday which failed to mention the incident.

The Tennessean.com reported that Jeff Hardy was escorted off a plane bound for North Carolina shortly before take-off due as he “appeared intoxicated,” according to Southwest Airlines spokesman Chris Mainz.

Mainz said Hardy was removed from the flight after he was reported by an airline employee.

Hardy was not arrested and boarded a later flight home. No police report was filed.

On Thursday afternoon, Matt Hardy posted the following on his MySpace blog:

“Hello amigos! I hope everybody’s having a great day. I had a really great first loop as the ECW Champ this weekend through the states of Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and then Tennessee. I was really happy with my performance and win Tuesday night in Nashville against Mike Knox. Thanks to all my MFers in Nashville that were in my corner that night-I appreciate ya!

“I actually thought the entire broadcast of ECW of Sci-Fi was a really strong show. I like that and want that every week. I truly due take pride in my ECW brand-especially considering the fact I’m currently one of the biggest representatives as the brand’s champion.

“Afterwards, I had a nice celebratory dinner and some good fellowship with some of WWE friends. I also had the best breakfast sandwich ever in the Nashville airport Wednesday morning. I then took the nice, easy flight back over to Raleigh, and was back home before I knew it. That evening, myself, Jeff, and Beth had the best Japanese hibachi and sushi ever. Everything is good.
