Tuesday September 9, 2008 BY Phil Lowe

- WWE tapes Smackdown and broadcasts ECW from Milwaukee, WI tonight. No matches have been announced for the TV tapings at time of writing however its likely that we’ll find out what’s next for Triple H and his WWE title ahead of next month’s No Mercy PPV, plus the show will likely feature the continuation of the Big Show/Undertaker angle from Sunday night’s Unforgiven PPV. Triple H and The Undertaker vs. The Great Khali and MVP has been advertised as a dark match.

We’ll have spoilers up on the front page of the site hopefully tonight or failing that, very early Wednesday morning depending on when our guy attending the show files his report. We’ll also have a full ECW TV report up on the site early on Wednesday.

- As announced on Raw last night, next week’s show will feature Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk in a cage match for the World title, plus Kane vs. Rey Mysterio.

- For those of you in the UK, Sky TV are offering the three remaining WWE PPVs of 2008 that aren’t being shown on Sky Sports on a 3-for-2 deal, meaning that No Mercy (October 5), Survivor Series (November 23) and Armageddon (December 14 – and three being shown on Sky Box Office) will cost a total of £29.90 rather than £44.85 if you purchase them individually.

The offer is only open to satellite customers, so if you’re on cable, you’re paying full price. Alternatively, we’ll have live coverage of all three, so save your money and follow the live coverage with us! If you’re wanting to take advantage of the offer, its only available if you book before Saturday, October 11.

- Ashley Fliehr, the 22-year-old daughter of Ric Flair, has been accused of assaulting a police officer over the weekend. The story has been covered by a number of outlets in the U.S with TMZ.com picking up on the story.

Police reportedly responded to a fight at Ashley’s apartment complex on Saturday. The police report noted that Flair himself was involved in a fight with a 22-year-old man which left Ric bloodied and bruised. Flair refused to file charges. Police said a taser gun was used on Ashley, who is charged with assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. She’s due in court on October 6.

- SLAM! Wrestling have an interview online with recently released Rory MacAllister, one half of The Highlanders. Their release is obviously covered as well as the night when tag team partner Robbie was shown on camera during a TNA Impact broadcast. “Of course there was heat for it, and rightfully so,” said Rory . “Robbie and I have a lot of good friends on TNA and we enjoy their show a lot but what he did was a dumb move and he knows it.

“TNA took advantage of it, can’t blame them, and WWE was pissed, can’t blame them either. In some ways it was probably part of the reason we are where we are now. But I love my cousin, will always support him and back him up all the way in this business and out of it!”

- Jim Ross has posted his post-Unforgiven blog update which you can read in full at this link. Ross wrote of Sunday’s PPV: “Unforgiven was an intriguing event…had its moments….gave some talents a chance to perform on the main stage….and it was interesting to see how the 3 Scramble bouts could have their own unique identity.

“The show was fun to be a part of because of all the above. On a scale of 1-10 I would give it a solid 7, which equates to value for the price of admission.”

- Ross also has a blog looking at last night’s edition of Raw at this link.

- Thanks to Devin Cutting for the following: “Wildcat” Chris Harris (aka Braden Walker) will be appearing at the Northern Wrestling Federation event in Fort Wright, Kentucky on September 13.
