Flair claims his son is one year away from WWE debut

Saturday October 18, 2008 BY Phil Lowe

Yorkshire-based publication The Star have an interview online with Ric Flair ahead of his appearance for the Doncaster-based 1PW promotion later today.

The Hall of Famer appears at The Doncaster Dome this lunchtime for a Q&A session ahead of an evening show which features Raven, Steve Corino and more.

“I don’t think I’ll ever wrestle again, ” said Flair, who claimed that his son, Reid, is around a year away from making his WWE debut.

“I never say never. But I’ve no plans to make a comeback.

“When I retired from WWE earlier this year and I was inducted into the Hall Of Fame, with all the tributes from the world’s greatest wrestlers, that was it.

“But I wanted to be here this weekend to meet my fans, say thanks and sign autographs. That’s all.

“I’ve been coming here since the 1980s and English fans are amongst the best in the world. They are devoted to us and understand the shows.”

Flair also hinted that should Reid make it to WWE television, he could reappear, adding: “You could very well see me back at ringside with him in the future.”
