WWE tape ECW and Smackdown with a casket match tonight

Tuesday October 28, 2008 BY Phil Lowe

WWE tapes both ECW and Smackdown tonight from San Diego, CA with a Undertaker vs. Big Show casket match headlining Smackdown, which will have a Halloween theme this week.

Kane vs. Rey Mysterio in a cage match is also being advertised for tonight’s show, although I’m assuming that will be a dark match. If you’re wondering why WWE would have two Raw guys work a Smackdown dark match, its purely because Mysterio is a huge draw for WWE in his home market.

At time of writing, the only thing announced for ECW on Sci-Fi tonight is a live “Dirt Sheet” with John Morrison and The Miz to push next Monday’s match with Triple H and Shawn Michaels on the 3-hour edition of Raw.

We’re looking for a report from tonight’s tapings. If you’re heading to San Diego tonight and can help us out with a Smackdown report or even quick results, you can get in touch with me on the email address at the bottom of the page!

As we reported yesterday, a Chris Jericho vs. Batista cage match was advertised for Raw last night in Tucson, AZ. That match did indeed take place after the show went off the air, with Batista getting the win in a short match.

TNA also tape tonight in Orlando, FL for next week’s show - the final Impact before next month’s Turning Point PPV. If you missed them, we’ve got spoilers from last night’s tapings up on the front page of the site (or click here).
