ECW on Sci-Fi TV report (airdate November 18)

Wednesday November 19, 2008 BY Steve McLaren

Miz & Morrison began the show by somewhat putting over their tag partners at Survivor Series. They then ripped on their opponents. That was it basically, but some of the highlights were saying Shawn Michaels’ team only has one man who can talk English, that being Shawn himself. They called Shawn, Captain Highpants. I’ll never, EVER get tired of Miz & Morrison calling Shawn Michaels that.

DJ Gabriel debuted! He came out to the ring with the super hot, Alicia Fox. I was so surprised they actually mention she used to be the wedding planner. Striker even mentioned Alex Wright, in 2008 someone still remembers ‘Das Wunderkind’ Alex Wright!

DJ Gabriel squashed Sal Rinauro and won with a second rope uppercut. Gabriel was insanely jacked up, I sense WELLNESS! Regardless of everything else, I like Gabriel, his dances are goofy but they’re funny. And damn, Alicia Fox dancing is sexy.

Jack Swagger was walking backstage before his Amateur Wrestling Challenge! Swagger outclassed Tommy Dreamer throughout the entire challenge; however, he got on his hands and knees and told Dreamer to shoot for something. Dreamer kicked Swagger and hit the DDT which caused the DQ. Nothing segment.

Ortiz & Tiffany were backstage when Swagger came in and got pissed with Tiffany when she said she didn’t see the match. Ortiz tried to defend her and ripped on Swagger’s lisp, but it sucked, because Ortiz sucks. Long came in and made Tommy Dreamer vs. Jack Swagger in an Extreme Rules match for next week.

The John Cena video played and they plugged the matches at Survivor Series.

Main Event time now and it was Matt Hardy, Kofi Kingston & Finlay vs. Cody Rhodes, Mark Henry & William Regal.

Finlay and Regal started the match, but sadly, it only lasted less than a minute. Cody was beaten on by the faces till the break; this was where all 6 men faced-off. We came back with Cody and Kofi wrestling, however, Regal and Finlay came in, and this time, it was great. They were hitting uppercuts and whatnot until Regal pushed Finlay off the top rope.

Finlay was then cornered by the heels until Cody walked right into a clothesline. Kofi came in and ran wild; he went up top which caused Todd Grisham to remark “The Jamaican is getting high!” Henry came in and caught Kofi which allowed him to hit the world’s strongest slam, and that was all she wrote. ECW went off the air with the heel team standing tall.
