TNA’s Genesis PPV was last night and if you’ve not yet caught the report, Jon Jones’ recap is up on the site at this link.

As Jon speculated during his recap, Awesome Kong has indeed injured her back. She’s not expected to be on the tour of the UK and Ireland.

There was no dark match prior to the PPV going live. The live crowd were told that Rhino may not be at the show but no reason was given why. Obviously that was to build to the angle during the PPV.

There was a lot of concern for Kevin Nash last night in Charlotte. He was genuinely hospitalised yesterday with a staph infection. TNA will hopefully post an update on Nash’s condition later today.

Former WWE and TNA star Shannon Moore was backstage at last night’s show visiting.

TNA return to Orlando tonight with tapings both tonight and Tuesday night for the next two weeks of Impact.

Its the start of a busy couple of weeks for the TNA crew. After taping two weeks of TV in Florida, the majority of the TNA roster head overseas for this weekend’s house shows in the UK and Ireland. Dates on Dublin, Ireland this Friday and Saturday are sold out, while tickets still remain for dates in Manchester (Tuesday, January 20), Birmingham (Wednesday. January 21), Glasgow (Thursday, January 22) and London (Saturday, January 24). TNA then head back to the U.S with Impact tapings starting again on January 26 and 27.

Announced for this Thursday night’s Impact show (taped tonight) are Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles with Mick Foley as referee, Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed vs. Matt Morgan and Abyss in a match to determine the #1 contenders to the TNA World Tag Team titles, more from “The Governor” and The Beautiful People, plus an update on Jeff Jarrett.
