Jim Ross confirms three-man announce team for WrestleMania 25

Wednesday April 1, 2009 BY Phil Lowe

Jim Ross has confirmed that Wrestlemania 25 this Sunday will have a three-man announce team following the departure of Tazz from WWE earlier this week.

Writing his latest blog update on his official website, Ross said: “I am looking forward to manning the ringside broadcast table with the King and Michael Cole on Sunday as all three of us no doubt feel honored to be a part of this historic event. To those of us who earn a living in the business this obviously isn’t just another day at the office. It’s getting near kickoff time folks and I can’t wait.”

Given that there’s no ECW title match on the card, the decision is a logical one and probably the best that WWE could have made.

Ross also noted that the live gate for Mania was now over $6.5million, which is quite staggering. There are still a number of tickets left for Sunday’s event.
