UFC announce five more fights for UFC 100
The UFC have added five news fights to the bill for this July’s landmark UFC 100 pay-per-view.
Earlier this week, the UFC announced three huge fights for the July 11 event, which will be headlined by UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and interim champ Frank Mir.
UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will put his belt on the line against Thiago Alves, while the UK’s own Michael Bisping will face Dan Henderson in a middleweight matchup between the coaches of the current season of The Ultimate Fighter.
On Thursday, the UFC confirmed that Yoshihiro Akiyama will make his long-awaited UFC debut against Alan Belcher, while 21-year old up Jon Jones will take on former Purdue wrestler Jake O’Brien in a light heavyweight match.
It will be Jones’ first fight since an impressive win over Stephan Bonnar in January.
Dong Hyun Kim will face Jonathan Goulet in welterweight action, while The Ultimate Fighter season seven finalist CB Dollaway will look to make it 3-0 in the Octagon since his stint on the show when he takes on season eight’s Tom Lawlor in a middleweight bout>
Also added is a lightweight clash between Matt Grice and Shannon Gugerty.
UFC 100 takes place on July 11 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
