Dr. Phil Astin, the former personal physician for Chris Benoit and his family, has been sentenced to ten years in prison.

Astin also faces three years of supervised release and 250 hours of community service when he has completed his jail term.

Astin pleaded guilty to 175 counts of illegally distributing prescription drugs and conspiring to distribute prescription drugs.

Astin was facing a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a multi-million dollar fine.
