Jeff Hardy broke a finger as well as injuring his shoulder during last night’s ladder match in the main event of WWE’s Extreme Rules PPV.

As I noted during last night’s live coverage, Hardy appeared to have hurt his hand during a spot where he clotheslined Edge over the top rope and it was clearly visible on camera that he had hurt himself.

Regarding Jeff’s status with the WWE, we’ve heard nothing new on whether or not he’ll be signing a new deal with the company.

The title switch to CM Punk last night could indicate he’s still set on leaving this summer, but it may just be that the title change is going to lead to a Punk heel turn. Hopefully we’ll have more of an idea of what’s happening on the blue brand after Tuesday night’s TV tapings.
