New WWE champion Batista is to undergo surgery on Tuesday, according to PWInsider.com.

Batista, who beat Randy Orton at Sunday night’s Extreme Rules PPV, suffered a torn biceps tendon at some point over the past few weeks and will undergo surgery tomorrow.

It is unknown how long Batista will be out for and brings up the question of why WWE put the belt on him if he could be sidelined for any length of time.

If he’s going to be off TV for some time, you’d assume that some kind of angle takes place on Raw tonight to write him out.
