The UFC could return to Germany next year following UFC 99 earlier this month.

A return date of April 2010 has been discussed after a well known venue expressed interest in holding an event.

UFC 99 was met with negative press coverage but was still seen as a success for the UFC’s first outing to the country.

UFC officials hope to win over the press and media over time.

Marek Lieberberg, who was co-promoter for UFC 99 in Cologne last week, told Fighters Only magazine: “I believe that in April 2010, a second mixed martial arts event will be held at the [König-Pilsener] arena in Oberhausen.

“They have expressed an interest.”

The venue holds around 13,000 people.
