WWE Raw rating plus Donald Trump update

Tuesday June 23, 2009 BY Phil Lowe

Whether it was Donald Trump’s appearance or whether it was the fact the show was commercial free remains to be seen, but Monday night’s edition of WWE Raw did a 4.5 rating on USA, which has to be seen as a success and will be a welcome boost ahead of this Sunday’s The Bash PPV.

It will be interesting to see if next week’s show does a decent number as historically, Raw fares well the night after a PPV.

The Donald Trump involvement may not be over yet either, with WWE this afternoon issuing a press release noting that Trump had “sold” Raw and adding: “this may not be the end of the feud between these two world class promoters.”

It wouldn’t be at all surprising if they do something for Summerslam in August.
