WWE rename two PPVs – Hell in a Cell PPV to debut in October

Saturday June 27, 2009 BY Phil Lowe

WWE have made changes to two PPVs later this year.

The No Mercy PPV which takes place on Sunday, October 4 will now be called ‘Hell in a Cell’ with Cell matches being the theme of the PPV.

October 25’s Cyber Sunday PPV also appears to be done with, as WWE have renamed the PPV ‘WWE Annihilation’.

There was talk of a Hell in a Cell match headlining Summerslam as the blow-off to the Triple H vs. Randy Orton feud but whether WWE will now want to do that match when there’s a PPV full of Cell matches (or at least the top matches will all be in a Cell similar to the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out) remains to be seen.

As always, we’ll have live coverage of the above PPVs here at iFight365.com, plus don’t forget we’ll have live coverage of The Bash this Sunday night at 7.30pm EST/12.30am BST along with a full PPV preview online early on Sunday.
