UFC 100 – Henderson knocks out Bisping
Former PRIDE champion Dan Henderson gained some redemption for his team’s failure in the recent series of The Ultimate Fighter by defeating Michael Bisping by knockout.
Henderson, who moves to 5-2 in the UFC, looked relaxed and calm throughout the fight as he picked apart Bisping with his jab. Bisping, moving quickly to avoid contact, landed a number of punches himself as the first round came to a close.
However, it was Henderson who went through the gears in the second round and as Bisping’s corner screamed at him to stop circling towards Henderson’s right fist, the American landed a huge shot that knocked out the Brit.
He followed it up with a punch to a stricken Bisping who lay motionless on the floor.
Henderson is expected to take on Anderson Silva in a re-match for the UFC middleweight title later this year.
