PWG Tag Team Champions enter BoLA

Sunday October 18, 2009 BY Dan Short

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has announced two more in the 2009 Battle of Los Angeles, which will take place on Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 at the American Legion Post #308 in Reseda, California.  For only the second time, both co-holders of the PWG World Tag Team Championship will be entering the tournament for a shot at singles glory.

Matt Jackson – 1st BoLA Tournament
Nick Jackson – 2nd BoLA Tournament

Recently, The Young Bucks became the longest reigning Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team Champions ever, which is impressive on its own, but combine it with winning DDT4 earlier this year, and it puts the Jackson brothers at the top of the list of greatest tag teams in company history.  With their names indelibly written in the record books, the Bucks approach the 2009 Battle of Los Angeles with the intention of performing a feat that most likely could never be duplicated: a reigning Tag Team Champion winning DDT4, the Battle of Los Angeles, and the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Championship all in the same year.  While Nick has more singles experience in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Matt is certainly capable of winning the tournament, as well.  History will be made at the 2009 Battle of Los Angeles; whether The Young Bucks make it remains to be seen. Nick’s BoLA Record: 0-1.

Tickets are now on sale at ProWrestlingGuerrilla.com.  $30 for front row on an individual night or $50 for both nights.  $25 for general seat on an individual night or $40 for both nights.  The 2009 Battle of Los Angeles takes place at the American Legion Post #308 in Reseda, California on Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 at 8pm on both nights.  The winner of this year’s tournament will claim the vacant PWG World Heavyweight Championship.
