Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has announced three first round matches in the 2009 Battle of Los Angeles, which will take place on Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 at the American Legion Post #308 in Reseda, California.

Block C
- Brandon Gatson vs. Nick Jackson
- X vs. X

Block D
- Chris Sabin vs. Roderick Strong
- X vs. X

Other participants in this year’s tournament include Alex Shelley, Austin Aries, Brian Kendrick, Colt Cabana, El Generico, Human Tornado, Jerome “LTP” Robinson, Joey Ryan, Matt Jackson, and Scott Lost.

There are reports going around that Kevin Steen’s knees are acting up.  It is said to be serious enough that it might cause him to pull out of BoLA.  If this ends up being the case, there will not be too many wrestlers for PWG to choose from as some of their regulars like Davey Richards and Chuck Taylor are booked on weekend shows for other promotions.

Full Impact Pro is running their annual Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup the same weekend and CHIKARA is having a series of “season finale” shows also on the weekend.  Talent possibly available include Chris Hero, Necro Butcher, and Tyler Black.

Tickets are now on sale at ProWrestlingGuerrilla.com.  $30 for front row on an individual night or $50 for both nights.  $25 for general seat on an individual night or $40 for both nights.  The 2009 Battle of Los Angeles takes place at the American Legion Post #308 in Reseda, California on Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 at 8pm on both nights.  The winner of this year’s tournament will claim the vacant PWG World Heavyweight Championship.
