Brock Lesnar has been confirmed as suffering from mononucleosis and his January 2, 2010 fight with Shane Carwin is off.
White informed UFC president Dana White on Wednesday of the diagnosis that he received earlier this week.
The UFC Heavyweight champion has been instructed not to train for a month, ruling out the chance of fighting as soon as January.
White told Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports: “We’re still trying to figure it out and I’m really not sure where any of it stands right now.”
March could be a possibility for the bout, which was originally scheduled to take place later this month at UFC 106 until illness ruled Lesnar out.
