Two heavyweight match-ups were identified on Friday as part of the UFC 115 in Vancouver. Former Pride champ Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipović (26-7-2) will meet Pat Barry (5-1) and MMA veteran Gilbert Yvel (36-14-1) will face Ben Rothwell (30-7).
Sources close to the event confirmed the match-ups with MMAjunkie.com on Friday.
Not yet officially announced, UFC 115 is expected to take place June 12 at GM Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The night’s main card airs on pay-per-view.

A bout between UFC welterweight fighters Mike Pyle (19-6-1) and Jesse Lennox (11-2) appears to be shaping up for UFC 115 in Vancouver.
Sources close to the fighters informed MMAjunkie.com that both fighters had made verbal agreements to face one another with official agreements to be signed soon.
Pyle has gone 1-2 in his three UFC bouts, losing to Jake Ellenberger at UFC 108 in his last fight. He defeated Chris Wilson via guillotine choke at UFN 19, and was defeated by Brock Larson at UFC 98. Fifteen of Pyle’s nineteen victories …

Machida KOs Evans, Hughes beats Serra at UFC 98

Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida stopped Rashad Evans at 3:57 of the second round to win the light heavyweight title at UFC 98 on Saturday night.

Machida landed a barrage of punches that sent Evans reeling up against the cage and finished him off with a left hand that folded Evans backwards onto the canvas.

“I’ve tried all my life to become a champion and I am very, very happy,” a jubilant Machida said. “Now I’m going to keep this belt for a long time.”

The light heavyweight title has now changed hands four times in the last five title bouts…
