It was a show that perhaps looked solid on paper but had not captured the imagination as a result of several weeks of unspectacular WWE programming – especially on Monday night’s.
But Sunday night’s Judgment Day PPV was a good (at times great) show which saw Hall of Famer Ric Flair return to make the save for Batista, while Rey Mysterio and Chris Jericho tore down the house in their Intercontinental title clash. And in the main event, Matt Hardy interfered as Edge retained his World title in an awesome match against Jeff Hardy.

Rey Mysterio was hurt during Tuesday night’s TV tapings in Dayton, OH.
The Smackdown announcer revealed Mysterio was “banged up” during a match taped for Superstars.
