The UFC have added five news fights to the bill for this July’s landmark UFC 100 pay-per-view.
Earlier this week, the UFC announced three huge fights for the July 11 event, which will be headlined by UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and interim champ Frank Mir.
UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will put his belt on the line against Thiago Alves, while the UK’s own Michael Bisping will face Dan Henderson in a middleweight matchup between the coaches of the current season of The Ultimate Fighter.

A pair of former Arizona high school wrestlers, featherweights Yaotzin Meza and Jamie “The Headhunter” Schmidt, will fight for one of two Sovereign Nations Mixed Martial Arts (SNMMA) title belts being contested for Saturday night, April 11 in “Extreme Beatdown” at Apache Gold Casino. MMA heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will be a special guest at “Extreme Beatdown.”

So, I thought I’d do something a little different. Instead of merely counting down 25 great WrestleMania matches as the title of this column suggests (do you know how hard that is to condense down?), I’m going to have a look at what were, for my money, 25 bloody marvellous bouts from the history of wrestling’s biggest event that were untarnished by a gimmick stipulation.
Yep, that means no ladders, or chairs… and no Hell in a Cell’s (sorry Bossman). Instead, just matches that revolved around athletes getting in there, and rolling around like animals…though I may break a couple of my own rules here and there.
