Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ Filipovic’s UFC return is over.
The Croatian star stopped Mostapha Al-Turk in the first round at UFC 99 on Saturday night in his first fight in the UFC since recording back-to-back losses in 2007.
UFC president Dana White was of the impression that Cro Cop would be staying for another two fights but was rocked by the news that the fighter has signed a three-fight deal with the Japan-based DREAM promotion.

Former pound-for-pound best boxer in the world, Roy Jones, has issued a challenged to Anderson Silva and is reportedly ready to fight under UFC rules.
But UFC president Dana White is not willing to promote the match in the Octagon while Silva is under contract - despite the 34-year-old apparently being keen on taking the bout.

This past weekend’s UFC 94 PPV could bring the UFC its largest PPV buyrate to date.
The show, which featured welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre vs. UFC lightweight champion B.J. Penn in the main event and took place after a huge amount of promotion, drew the UFC’s largest ever attendance for a Las Vegas show.
