While talk of any full-time return of the Monday Night Wars can be considered extremely premature, TNA have confirmed that Hulk Hogan’s first live appearance for the company will take place on Monday, January 4, with TNA running live against WWE Monday Night Raw.

Hogan will appear as part of a three-hour live special from 8pm EST on Spike TV.

Hogan, along with TNA president Dixie Carter and Eric Bischoff, were cageside last night in Las Vegas for the season finale of UFC’s Ultimate Fighter, where the announcement was made.

Hogan said: “We’re going wide open, head-on-head, we’re going to battle with the WWE.”

The Big News: Bobby Lashley won the TNA Championship Series, a one-night tournament to determine who will get a title shot at AJ Styles.

The Big News: AJ Styles and Daniels continued their solid program with an excellent tag team match in the main event.

The Big News: This was a screwed up show that was impossible to make sense out of. A.J. Styles looked as weak as possible as champion in losing a match that shouldn’t have been booked to begin with. A guest GM didn’t know the names of the wrestlers on the show he was hosting. Black Machismo jobbed to a 53-year-old former tag team wrestler who was 20 years past his peak and Dixie Carter’s speech to the wrestlers got as much play as this weekend’s PPV. It was like the creative team knew they were lame duck and wanted to bury people on the way out. Hmmmm…..

The latest video has been posted for the forthcoming Hulkamania tour in Australia featuring Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair.

The Big News: The standard Vince Russo fare. Hulk Hogan’s arrival basically overshadowed the entire show, to the point it felt like 1994 WCW again. Only thing is, the positives of Hogan’s arrival back then were apparent for WCW. Right now, the positives for TNA remain in question. It didn’t help that the show was totally forgettable with one angle after another that will no doubt lead to nowhere.

The Hulkamania promotion has posted a Ric Flair promotion where “The Nature Boy” hypes his return to the ring to face Hulk Hogan during the Australia tour.
