Wanderlei Silva enters into this weekend’s UFC 110 event in desperate need of a victory as he has gone an underwhelming 1-3 in his current run in the Octagon and raised questions as to whether he may be past his prime. We’re pretty damn excited about the upcoming February 20th tilt between Michael Bisping and Wanderlei Silva, after all, both guys like to bring it standing and due to the whole ‘TUF’ vs. ‘old school Pride’ backdrop, it’s been marked on our calendar for a while. It would kind of suck if the bout ends in 20 seconds, but that’s a risk you run in a sport where someone’s brain can be introduced to a kick, before you’ve even had a chance to crack a beer.

With 2010 upon us, we thought we’d share with you our favourite moments from the MMA scene in 2009.
MMA enjoyed huge success throughout the year, with several fighters going on to become world class athletes. The highlights were endless – Team UK impressed during season nine of The Ultimate Fighter, Kimbo Slice made his UFC debut, Dan Hardy sent shockwaves through the welterweight division, Team England impressed in the M1 Challenge and Affliction suffered in similar fashion to the PRIDE organisation.
One thing is for sure however, it was an awesome year to be an MMA fan…

The UFC rocked the M.E.N. Arena on Saturday as UFC 105 took place in front of a sellout crowd in Manchester.
A lively crowd saw wins for British fighters Michael Bisping and Dan Hardy, while Randy Couture earned a unanimous points decision win over Brandon Vera, although iFight365 – like many others – scored the fight differently.

Words can’t describe how excited I am for it. A – it’s in my hometown and B – it’s my first fight back after coming off a loss, so I’m very excited to fight and I want to get back to winning ways sharpish.

I suppose there’s always an extra bit of pressure fighting in your hometown, but I tend to perform better with that pressure so I’m looking forward…
