As the XFC (Xtreme Fighting Championship) promotion builds up towards another fantastic night of MMA action in Florida, their star man took time out of his busy schedule to talk about his return. Ladies and gentleman, “The Giant” has awoken.

For many, that signals very bad news. “The Giant” is better known as Gan McGee – a man who needs no introduction. Standing at an incredible 6′10 and weighing over 250lbs, McGee is a heavyweight fighter with an impressive reputation.

Having beaten some big names throughout MMA, McGee was left “robbed” of …

MMAPreview.com’s Martin Smith caught up with Johnathan Ivey for an exclusive interview talking about his preparations for his upcoming fight with Gan McGee, comparing himself to Paris Hilton, thoughts on Brock Lesnar and more…

First of all Johnathan, we’ll start with the typical cliche question, how are things going and how is the training coming along?
Johnathan Ivey: Training is going really great right now, man. I want to thank Ryan McDonald, David Powers, and Tyler Dennis – along with a really good up-and-coming fighter named Coty Davis. They’ve been pushing me …

Martin Smith provides you with his thoughts on the latest news and rumours in the world of MMA…
——————————–
Rumours of a Quinton Jackson fight in November raised my eyebrows this week – as I’m sure it did for readers of this site. The fight, scheduled to be against Wanderlai Silva, would be an explosive hard hitting slug-fest that would no doubt draw big at the box office. Seriously, what are the UFC playing at?
Quinton Jackson should not be in the octagon again this year.
UFC should be putting its arm around Jackson …

A TKO is a funny thing in MMA. It all at once can be both exciting and disappointing for the neutral onlooker. The familiar site of one fighter instinctively pouncing on his adversary, delivering frantic blows with the scent of victory in his nostrils, as the referee drops to the canvas in an attempt to get the best view he can to determine when enough is enough. The whole spectacle ends with the referee jumping in between the fighters and waving his arms at the judges to indicate that we …

The state of Tennessee has passed legislation that calls for the sanctioning of mixed martial arts, which opens the door for the Ultimate Fighting Championship and other major organizations to host events in Memphis, Nashville and other cities.
In fact, it was the UFC that led the charge to get the sport sanctioned in Tennessee, the home of UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson.
Gov. Phil Bredesen will put the legislation into effect today.
Jackson and Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Marc Ratner were especially prominent in the process. Both met with lawmakers …

It all seems to be falling into place for UFC heavyweight star Fabricio Werdum (11-3-1).
He had a slow start in the UFC, losing a unanimous decision to former heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski at UFC 70 in Manchester England. Neither man looked particularly impressive in this fight.
Fast forward to UFC 80 and Werdum returned to England this time to face fellow Brazilian Gabriel Gonzaga. (The two men had met previously at Junglefight 1 in 2003, where Werdum won the fight by TKO in the third round.) Gonzaga had just come off …

Affliction Clothing – the company behind the Affliction branded t-shirts that are worn and feature specific designs relating to certain fighters including Randy Couture, Rampage, Sherk and GSP among others – will attempt its first foray into the UFC dominated land of North American Mixed Martial Arts promotion next month.
The shirts have been worn by top fighters over the last year or so, but since the announcement that Affliction is planning to promote its own fight card, companies such as the UFC and the Gary Shaw promotion Elite-XC have banned …

After UFC 85, the whole MMA world sat back and admired their new Middleweight star. After just two fights at this weight, Michael Bisping is establishing himself as one of the main guys in the division.
Can he be the man to step up and stop the almost unbeatable Anderson Silva?
When Michael Bisping dropped down from Light Heavyweight to Middleweight, many people questioned if he could have the same impact at a division with stars such as Rich Franklin, Dan Henderson, Thales Leites and of course, the dominating Silva.
At UFC 83, …

Welcome to MMAPreview.com!
In May 2008, we opened WWEPreview.com – an extension of OddsPreview.com, a sports news and betting website.
Opening WWEPreview.com was done to give WWE fans a dedicated site for their daily fix of wrestling news and analysis, rather than looking for articles in amongst the “real” sports and betting news over at OddsPreview.com.
MMAPreview.com came about for the same reasons. Rather than giving a few column inches here and there to UFC over at OddsPreview.com, we took the decision to build a new site entirely dedicated to the world of …
