Former UFC light heavyweight champions “Suga” Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will serve as coaches for Season 10 of “The Ultimate Fighter” premiering Wednesday, September 16 at 10:00pm, it was announced today by Dana White, UFC President. This season will showcase 16 heavyweights, the first time this weight class has been featured on “The Ultimate Fighter” since Evans himself was a cast member on Season 2.

UFC 96: Jackson defeats Jardine to set up title shot at UFC 98

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson won his second consecutive bout at UFC 96 on Saturday night, defeating Keith Jardine by unanimous decision in front of a sold-out crowd at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Jackson will now go on to face Rashad Evans with Jackson looking to regain his light heavyweight title.

UFC president Dana White said Jackson vs. Evans will take place at UFC 98 in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 23.

For many fighters, getting to the top of your division is the ultimate goal. There’s no better feeling than winning a title in your weight class. However, when you get to the top, where do you go?

The discussion around forums, websites and events often focuses around the best pound for pound fighters in the world. The name on everyone’s lips – Fedor Emelianenko – dominates everyone’s top five. Of course, there is no definitive pound for pound rankings. Basically, I could have Fedor as my number one and someone else could have Anderson Silva. That is the beauty of the pound for pound rankings.
