As a follow on from my criticism of TNA’s use of aging ECW alumni Raven and Shane Douglas, I would like to make an apology.
While I criticised Raven for having been out of shape during his previous TNA run, I can see that it clearly was due to a purely medical condition, and that he does seem to have got back into tremendous shape for someone of his age.
This, combined with news that TNA appears to be purely using them as a short term nostalgia act in order to promote their next PPV, casts a fresh light on what initially seemed to be a poor business move…

Welcome to the latest Roundtable discussion here at iFight365.com where this week we’re asking the question: Is The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels the best match in the history of WrestleMania?
James Mustoe: While Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker was certainly the best match at WrestleMania this year, and will probably be WWE’s undisputed MOTY, I don’t quite think that it’s time to start calling it the best match that’s ever been at WrestleMania.
Looking back at similarly well regarded matches from WrestleMania, such as the incredible…

Welcome back to “Throwing in the Towel”, and that horrid, post-Mania depression we all enter into for a brief period. So WrestleMania 25 was the flattest rendition of that particular event for a number of years, and the WWE don’t especially care- as they steer us towards another show in a couple of weeks, with a very TNA type flavour to it. Meanwhile, the brand split means absolutely nothing, and the highlight of this week’s television was a man approaching sixty (no… not Vince). Yuck.
So what better way to pass the time, and alleviate those blues, than to slap some nostalgia into that shiny disc player, and bask in the glories of…

Disc 2 of Edge’s DVD kicks off with him sat in his “Joey Chair” apologising for the intermission, and plugging disc 2 as his return from injury. He talks about facing Randy Orton, and the upcoming match would prove who carried the Rated RKO tag team a few years later. Then we get a movie trailer about how Edge’s promising career was cut short with his broken neck, and his triumphant return.
Edge v. Randy Orton - WWE Vengeance 2004. The main thing I think about when watching this match is how much better it would be today. That’s not to say this wasn’t a good match, but Edge just wasn’t catching on as a babyface here, and…

Seven years ago, following WrestleMania 18, I had a feeling of emptiness inside. Although I’d just witnessed Hogan versus The Rock, which was one of the most electrifying spectacles I’d seen in years, the PPV on which it occurred left me under whelmed.
Not since that WM has the same result transpired, not even in 2003, when WM 19 was a box-office flop (those who watched it appreciated a superior card of entertainment and grappling).
The closest I’ve came to feeling that disappointed, was with WrestleMania 22, which also didn’t feel like a special WrestleMania in some regards…

We’re previewing the full card for WWE’s WrestleMania 25 PPV which takes place tonight.
iFight365.com will have live coverage this evening from around 5pm EST/10pm UK time.
Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker square off against each other in front of what is bound to be an energetic Texas crowd. Its the match that many consider to be the true main event of WrestleMania 25 despite no titles being on the line. Can Mr WrestleMania vs. Undertaker’s undefeated streak steal the show tonight?
Mark Bright: Now you’re talking. This is the real main event of this show in my eyes, and has…
