In an update on Jeff Hardy following his surprise reappearance in TNA on Monday, Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online report that Hardy was said to have had made a verbal agreement with WWE on a return date before heading off on his sabbatical months ago.

Like everyone else, the folks at WWE were very surprised he suddenly signed very late with TNA and appeared on their Monday show. However, Vince McMahon appeared to not have been too upset. The belief is that Jeff’s deal with TNA is only short-term, although it is not known how short his stint will be.

Now comes the bad news for Hardy…
